THE STATE OF TEXAS PAPERWEIGHT

On April 21, 1836, Sam Houston and 800 Texans, outnumbered two to one, burst into the Mexican camp on the plain of San Jacinto. Routing the disorganized Mexican invaders in 18 minutes of furious hand to hand combat, Houston became a hero and Texas an independent nation. Later under a special treaty with the United States, Texas was admitted to the Union. Today Texans provide the cultural, financial, and high technological leadership for the Nation and the World. In the spirit of Texan pride and independence Charles Hill and Meadow Mountain Designs have prepared the State of Texas Paperweight in pewter and Victorian Crystal.
