The year 1986, marked the centennial celebration of the construction of the Statue of Liberty on what is now Liberty Island in New York Harbor. The Government of France commissioned world famous monument builder Bartholdi and tower designer Eiffel to create the extraordinary masterpiece of art and engineering known as the Statue of Liberty. The Statue was a gift from the Government of France to the people of the United States for the uniqueness and treasure that Liberty, as found in America, represents to the people of the world.-

Pewter head and shoulders of 'Liberty' set against a pewter nighttime sky inside our traditional pewter base as "Desk Jewelry by Charles Hill". "Charlie Hill did a good job!"
